- Garment: Lay a similar piece that fits you well flat on a table and measure it the same way to compare.
- Length: From the top of the shoulder down to the hem.
- Shoulder: Straight across the back from one shoulder seam to the other.
- Chest / Waist / Low hip / Bottom: Measure straight across at each point and double it. Bottom is the width around the hem.
- Arm hole: All the way around the armhole seam.
- Sleeve length: From the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff.
- Cuff: All the way around the sleeve opening.
- Skirt waist: Relaxed is the waistband unstretched. Stretched is how far it can comfortably stretch.
